What will my friends and family think of me if I don’t succeed in this adventure?

Instead of listening to “PEOPLE,THEM, THEY” as we refer to others, I knew that the choice to leave the firm and embark on a trading career would be the right choice for me. Yes, I didn’t have a college degree, nor did I have a high school degree, however, I had a Phd in life skills and survival. It didn’t matter to me, I knew that somehow I would make it happen.



Fast forward 4 years, I was a successful Forex trader making $25-$30k a month. I was living the life, until some dreadful interest rate announcement day, which cost me my trading account.

I could have gone back to the thoughts and statements that the “OTHERS,THEM” told me, “you see, trading is very dangerous, people lose their money in the market”, however, I decided that I would do anything legal to save up for another trading account.

The survival spirit in me, never let me give up. Yes, I was young, making too much money, and hardly saved any of it, because I knew that I could make money the following month, however, just because I lost money in the Forex market, it didn’t deter me from following my dream and passion for mastering the markets.

Yes, people, even your family will try and deter you from becoming a full fledged trader. They all mean well, they all love you and only want the best for you. However, no one knows what is best for you and you life other than you. You are going to lose money as a trader, brace yourself, you might even lose a lot of money, however, you have to make a pledge to never die with your music still within you.

The best way to find support for your dream of mastering the markets is to join a tribe or a family of traders who share a common goal of reaching their full potential in the market. They can carry you when you are feeling low and celebrate your success. You can lean on them when you need to learn stock trading skills and when you have some stock trading tips to share.

You cannot expect your organic family to support you while you learn stock trading. They don’t understand what emotions, challenges, obstacles and learning curves you have to master before you reach full success as a trader.

Usually when people share their opinions and advice about the stock market you may realize that they are coming from a place of either ignorance, concern or they have had negative past experiences in the stock market.

After they share their experiences, Thank them for sharing and then get busy living your dream as a successful profitable stock market trader or investor. It’s none of your business what people have to say, or think about you, your only business is to make sure that you succeed for yourself and those closest to you.

Learn stock trading skills that will make sure that succeed so when all is said and done, you can feel proud of all the hard work you put into your trading career, when others thought you were wasting your time.

Just for today focus on minding your own business. Acquire solid stock market education (learn stock trading psychology techniques), find a tribe or stock market trading family, learn stock trading tips from them and put time into mastering your skills as a trader.
