This is a question that many beginner stock market traders and investors ask?
So long will it take me to make money consistently in the stock market. The answer is always dependant on the individual’s psychological makeup.

The question can also be answered as a question. How long would you give your lovely infant to learn how to walk? During the period when an infant begins their journey to freedom, where they can stand, wobble and balance their way around a room, parents and admirers of the baby are so encouraging and supportive.

We all have heard the “coos” as the parents share, “Sally took her first step today, it was so exciting. “ If your baby only crawls until they are 17 months old, would you give up on your child and confine them to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives?

Absolutely not, you lovingly support, encourage your child and take the necessary actions to ensure their healthy development.

However, as day traders, stock market investor and stock traders, we want a quick fix.We want to make money in stock market investing and trading extra quick.

From birth we want to know how to run. No crawling or falling allowed. After the first three hour seminar you attend, you expect to open your trading platform on Monday and trade Baidu as soon as it begins trading and hope to make $10 000 in the first half an hour of trading?

I hate to be the one to tell you, but the likelihood of the situation above materializing is slim to none. This false ‘hope’ is how many beginner stock market traders get burnt, lose all their money and develop a drinking habit.

As a beginner stock market trader, you have to be kind to yourself and you have to nurture your growth as a trader. When you’ve tripped, have a string of losing trades and falling all over the place, remember the first steps the baby takes on their journey to freedom.

Sometime it will feel as though you will never reach the counter, and for many traders it is an uphill battle and struggle when taking those first few frustrating steps and trying to make money in stock market trading.

Remember you would never give up on your baby and you would never stop encouraging a baby.

Why not do that for yourself as a trader. As long as you have solid education, determination and a solid warrior psyche, you will prevail.
